A visionary chef with roots in fine dining, Chef Gerardo Acunzo began his culinary journey as a child in his family’s café. He trained under Michelin-starred mentors, mastering European cuisine before refining his craft at prestigious institutions. His career encompasses multiple countries and cultures, from exploring his Italian heritage to immersing himself in Asian fine dining in the Austrian Alps. He has led culinary operations aboard premier expedition vessels and worked at one of Germany’s most acclaimed restaurants under the tutelage of a three-Michelin-starred chef. In 2022, he helped launch a flagship fine dining restaurant at sea, bringing Michelin-level cuisine to ocean voyages.
