Cross the Mediterranean to Marassi Marina El Alamein, a coastal haven near the site of pivotal Second World War battles, before spending three days in Alexandria. There, the catacombs of Kom el Shaqafa, the Citadel of Qaitbay, and the modern Bibliotheca Alexandrina evoke its Graeco-Roman legacy.
