Cuisine
Your taste buds are in for a treat at Grenada's Prickly Bay yacht club, where nutmeg-infused stews and cinnamon-laced desserts offer a spice-laden culinary journey. Tobago answers with fiery curried crab and dumplings, a local specialty that sings when paired with an ice-cold Carib lager on Charlotteville's sun-drenched shores. Grenada's organic chocolate, made from cocoa beans nurtured in the island's lush interior, is a must-try, as is Tobago's coo-coo, a cornmeal and okra dish central to the island's cuisine.
Historical References
Beneath Grenada's waters lies an eerily beautiful subaquatic sculpture park, a tribute to the island's past that doubles as an artificial reef. St Lucia's Marigot Bay whispers tales of swashbuckling buccaneers who once sought shelter in this paridise. Perched high above Scarborough, Tobago's Fort King George offers panoramic views and a glimpse into the island's turbulent colonial history, having changed hands more than 30 times between various European powers.
Things to Do
Your Thanksgiving festivities begin with a potent Painkiller at the famed Soggy Dollar Bar in Soper's Hole, BVI, where the bartenders are as memorable as the cocktails. For a taste of local flavour, the pulsating "jump-up" street parties at St Lucia's Gros Islet beckon with steelpan rhythms and rum flowing in equal measure. Nature enthusiasts will find paradise in Grenada's Grand Etang National Park, home to mona monkeys and a crater lake, while Tobago's Buccoo Reef offers a protected marine park teeming with tropical fish and coral formations.
Packing Guide
Bring along all of your must-have ESCVDO and Alémais resort wear for her and Aurelien for him. Pack Anemos swimwear in your Carl Friedrik carry-on for the pristine beaches of the British Virgin Islands and Grenada’s Prickly Bay. Sunglasses by Moscot will channel nostalgia while shading your eyes against the golden Caribbean sun. Embrace seaside-ready designers like Calle Del Mar for her and Percival for him for days in French-infused Martinique—linen button-downs are always in style. And don’t forget your mineral sunscreen from Agent Nateur.
