Cuisine

In Antigua, the culinary adventure begins with the iconic fungi and pepperpot, a hearty stew rich with okra and local spices, embodying the island's authentic taste. A journey through Antigua isn't fulfilled without delving into its celebrated rum culture, savouring the complex warmth of its aged treasures. Over in St Lucia, indulge in the national delicacy of green fig and saltfish, a unique blend of sweet unripe bananas and savoury cod. For those with a penchant for chocolate, St Lucia offers an immersive bean-to-bar experience, where you can craft your own chocolate delights, inspired by the spirited zest of rum punch.

Historical References

Antigua's Nelson's Dockyard, recognised by UNESCO, displays the might of Dutch seafaring history, offering a glimpse into its storied maritime heritage. Venture next to Dow’s Hill Interpretation Centre for an interactive journey through Antigua's quest for independence, or explore Devil's Bridge, a limestone marvel steeped in pre-Columbian lore. In St Lucia, look beyond the iconic Pitons to Fort Charlotte. This 18th-century fortress presents panoramic vistas and a chronicling of the tactical battles that shaped the island's history.

To-do list icon

Things to Do

Antigua shatters the resort-only stereotype with a trove of thrilling adventures waiting to be discovered. Zip through the rainforest canopy or dive into the culinary scene with a class on local cuisine—there's no limit to what you can explore on this exhilarating island. St Lucia calls to the eco-adventurer with open arms; pedal across the Anse Mamin Plantation, paddle through the shimmering bioluminescent waters, and soak in Sulphur Springs Park's therapeutic mineral mud baths, offering a natural spa experience that revitalises from the outside in.

Packing Guide

For this itinerary a chic white button-down is perfect for everyone to wear for evenings with skirts and trousers or during the day as a cover-up. Try Charvet for him and her. From there, you’ll need your footwear situated. A good walking shoe for exploring the islands is a must, perhaps a Brunello Cucinelli sneaker for him, and for her, Miu Miu showed boat shoes for its spring collection, which makes us more than ready to invest in a pair now. That sea air can bring a chill at night, so bring along some cashmere sweaters from Loro Piana or Khaite.
